Donald misses out on number-one golf world ranking, for now

Following a playoff defeat at the hands of American Brandt Snedeker, England's Luke Donald failed to attain the world golf top spot. Fellow Brit Lee Westwood, however, won the Indonesian Open to capture the coveted ranking, snatching it from idle Martin Kaymer, reported the UK's Press Association Sport and The Associated Press.

Though golf's top ranking eluded him - at least for this week - Donald, who is currently ranked third in the world, maintained an upbeat attitude. "It was going to be some big rewards if I won today," he told the British news source. "But I'll try and find the positives from this week and move on to next week...I've still got some time on my side."

Snedeker, keeping Donald out of the top-spot, won the Heritage Sunday in Hilton Head, South Carolina, which marked his second PGA tour win after the 2007 Wyndham. The Nashville, Tennessee native remained humble after the hard-fought victory, telling The AP "It's a storybook ending really, to be playing Luke in a playoff, to even have a chance to win was exciting to me."

In addition to agricultural equipment, John Deere provides golf course equipment to landscapers, including lawn mowers for greens and fairways, and specialized gator utility vehicles.
